Camelot Education held a grand opening ribbon cutting ceremony for the area’s first private therapeutic day school, Camelot of the Quad Cities, on Wednesday, December 10 at 4:30 p.m.
Officials from Camelot Education, Moline City Council and the Moline-Coal Valley School District were on hand to celebrate the new school.
Area school districts invited Camelot to open a campus, located at the former Horace Mann School, because of the need for its unique services.
The school serves students with social and emotional disorders who are unable to succeed in the conventional classroom.
The school began accepting students referred by area districts in September but this event marks the official grand opening.
