Camelot’s New Name, New Look, New Home: One Year Later

Camelot President Todd Bock, surrounded by Camelot employees, cuts the ribbon on the new Central Office location in Austin, Texas in early 2014.
Early 2014 was a time of big change for Camelot Education. Rebranded with a new name and a new look, Camelot also moved its central office to a new headquarters in Austin, Texas.
One year after our big move, the Central Office in Austin, Texas, is certainly abuzz!
“The new Central Office building offers a more professional look and feel than our previous office,” said Camelot Chief Financial Officer Chris Friedrichs. “The new office is also a multi-tenant facility which provides more amenities for our staff.”
Additionally, according to Freidrichs, the space is closer to the center part of this city. Camelot’s previous location was located 15 miles outside of Austin.
The purpose of the rebrand was to develop a clear, consistent image across all facets of Camelot Education, and to ensure that Camelot could be easily identified on the web, print, and in the media.

On an internal level, Camelot employees immediately embraced the new Mission Statement and Core Values, including accountability, diversity, respect and teamwork.
The rebrand—which also included a new tagline and logo (seen on the cake above)—has meant a lot for Camelot employees across the country.
“One thing I have always loved about Camelot is the strong sense of family. Our students know they are part of the Camelot family, and this is a big part of why they are able to overcome obstacles to achieve success,” said Elizabeth Landig, Director of Diverse Learning Administrator for Special Education in the Chicago Excel Academy. “The new tagline ‘Your Future Starts Here’ conveys this sense of being welcomed into a family. It communicates that ‘we want you, and we believe in you.'”
“The new innovative logo, with a hint of childlike activity, gives a clear and consistent visual of the target audience we service, as well as a direct reflection of reaching for the stars that correlates with the logo,” said Chicago Excel Academy Roseland Behavior Specialist Colby Chapman. “Our mission explains the ways we intend to prepare students for success. I am extremely ecstatic about our new brand logo and look forward to continued years of success within students.”
Piggybacking off the success of Camelot Education’s move and rebrand, the marketing department is moving full steam ahead for 2015. A new website is on the horizon, as well as new regular communications with employees to share information from the Central Office.
