Illinois Therapeutic Day Schools Come Together to Celebrate Staff

Teachers and administrators from Camelot Education Therapeutic Day Schools throughout Illinois came together on July 23 in the suburban Chicago area to celebrate all TDS Staff of the Year Nominees and to announce the overall winner: Karen Fletcher.

Karen is a special education teacher at the Northwest Center for Autism (NWCA) and has worked for years with the school’s youngest exceptional students on the autism spectrum.  According to Karen’s nomination from NWCA Principal Jennifer Johnson, Karen is enthusiastic and has true passion for teaching and learning.

 Karen was one of six staff members recognized for exemplary performance; one staff member was nominated at each Camelot school throughout the state:  Camelot of Belvidere: Jenn McCormick; Camelot of Bourbonnais: Emily Smith; Camelot Hoffman Estates: Ashley Walsh; Camelot of Naperville: Chasta Moore; Camelot’s Northwest Center for Autism: Karen Fletcher; Camelot of Oak Park: Kristen Schaffer
